Get Involved and VOLUNTEER!

Planning for the year has begun and we need new volunteers throughout the school year. We are excited to share volunteer opportunities to encourage you a part of our Teasley Community! There are several needs, please take a look and see if there is something you would enjoy doing for your child’s school. 

Don't want to take the lead?  No worries!  We have several opportunities to support efforts, make donations, come to the school to help as needed, contribute ideas, and work in shifts for big events. Volunteering is a great way to meet Teasley's awesome faculty and staff and meet other Teasley families.

 Lunch Monitor

January 21st- January 24th, 2025

As we kick off the spring semester, one of our lunchroom monitors will be out at the end of January. The PTA is offering to assist the custodial staff to help maintain the lunchroom flow during this time. If you’re available, your help would be greatly appreciated!

Please wear comfortable pants and tennis shoes, and join us in helping the staff clean tables between classes to ensure our children are well taken care of.

Here’s how to help:

1. Check in at the front office.
2. Proceed to the café and meet by the water station, where staff will guide you on what to do.
3. Check out at the front office when you're ready to leave.

Dress Down Days

February 14th

April 4th

Join us in celebrating Dress Down Day! We are looking for volunteers to help collect and count donations as students bring in their dollar for this fun event.

When: Friday mornings of Dress Down Days, from 7:10 AM to 8:30 AM.

What to do:

1. Check in at the front office and gather collection bins from the PTA office.
2. Proceed to one of the designated collection points.
   • Main Entrance, Back Entrance, or Bus Port/Walker Entrance 
3. After the 7:50 AM bell, sweep the classrooms to collect any remaining funds.
4. Once all funds are collected, return to the PTA office to count and prepare funds for the bank deposit.
5. Complete check out of the school before leaving.

5th Grade Dance

What Volunteers will be doing: 

Check-In: Welcoming students and assisting with the sign-in process.
Food Station Support: Helping serve food and snacks.
Hallway Monitors: Ensuring students stay within designated areas and assisting as needed.
Photo Booth Helpers: Assisting students at the 360 photo booth and ensuring everyone gets a turn.
Craft Station Assistance: Helping at the hat-decorating station.
General Supervision: Ensuring students stay safe and enjoy the event.

Volunteer Times 6:00pm - 8:30pm

Responsibilities will be assigned at the event.

Black History Month - Door Decorating Volunteers

January 29th-31st

We will need volunteers to collaborate with the teachers once again to assist with the creation of door decorations for Black History Month. Your help will be greatly appreciated in bringing creative ideas to life and ensuring that our school’s doors are beautifully decorated for the occasion.
