Frequently Asked Questions and the Top things you need to know for New & Returning Teasley Families:

2023-2024 Updates:

• NEW DISMISSAL SYSTEM GoSAFE is an innovative dismissal platform that gives the enrolling adult more autonomy and security with dismissal needs. This is a requirement for all students. Please review the Parent Guide provided by Cobb County.
• Teacher assignments will be available to view in ParentVue the last week of July. 
• Only Kindergarten Parents will be allowed in the building on the first day of school. We encourage ALL parents to come during their Kickoff Orientation designated time when only one grade level will be in the building at a time.  You are sure to be able to go to the classroom on that day! Kindergarten:

• There is Kindergarten wing of the school.
• Most kindergarten classrooms have restrooms but not all. Those who do not have their own private restrooms will use the restrooms on the hall.
• There is a designated playground for K-2^nd grade.
• The Para-Pro from the K classes will be greeting and guiding Kindergarten students at drop off.
• Attach a Name Tag w/child’s FULL name, grade & teacher to your child’s backpack so staff can guide them to their classroom.

Carpool:

• K-1^st grade carpool will be in the rear entrance of the school off of Spring Road (siblings can be dropped off together)
• 2^nd-5^th grade carpool will be in the front entrance of the school off of Spring Hill Parkway
• Morning Carpool starts at 7:20 a.m. Sign Up to help HERE!
• Afternoon carpool, ALL CAR RIDERS will be dismissed AT THE FRONT OF THE SCHOOL starts at 1:45 ends at 2:45 p.m.

Bus:

• Bus riders can find their route and pick up times at transportation.cobbk12.org
• Here Comes The Bus App-allows you to see real time where the bus is

Walkers:

• Kids will go to the sidewalk at the entrance to the bus lane (back of school). They will not be allowed to be dropped off at the front entrance or enter in the front of the building.

School Beginning and End Times:

• School starts at 7:50
• School Ends at 2:00

Meals:

• Lunch is purchased through ParentVUE at parentVUE.cobbk12.org
• Lunch Menus are listed on the Teasley Website at cobbk12.org/Teasley
• Brown Bag Breakfast will be available to all students at the entrances when entering

Devices:

• Your child will NOT need to bring their device every day. Your child’s teacher will let your child know if they need to bring it to school.

After School Program (ASP):

• You will need to pay an annual registration fee of $20
• You can enroll through ParentVUE
• Ratio of 1 adult to 15 kids
• $10/day open until 6:00 p.m.

General Information:

• You may send a water bottled labeled with your child’s first & last name, water fountains will ONLY be used to refill water bottles.
• For Kindergarten and First Grade, Please have your child wear a name tag and their grade and teacher the first couple weeks so we can get where they need to be!
• Label everything with First & Last Names
